Aspen/Snowmass Parks & Pipes

A different breed of winter fanatic tears up the snow in the parks & pipes within Aspen/Snowmass!

Those skiers and riders who favor tricky maneuvers and aerial stunts have their own bold design style—and Aspen/Snowmass appeals to them with special Parks & Pipes webpages that catch that youthful aesthetic and stretch the Aspen/Snowmass brand.

Like the sprawling resort itself, the Aspen/Snowmass website is almost too big to explore in a single visit, but the Parks and Pipes microsite is easy to find and fun to reconnoiter. Geared to those whose vocabulary includes terms like rails, jibs, hits, and cat tracks, the site is an interactive treasure map, pinpointing a lone rail here, a scary-steep drop there (with the warning “try your skills on a powder day”). The site leads thrill seekers all over Aspen/Snowmass, from manmade terrain parks to daring natural jumps and ‘secret’ features. It creates a sense of both inclusion (yes, dude, we welcome you) and exclusivity (you’re one of the special tribe).

The Parks & Pipes microsite even has its own stripped-down, buzzed-up logo and typography—a look more akin to electronic imagery and video games than the au naturel style of the parent Aspen/Snowmass site. By recognizing that terrain park enthusiasts constitute their own demographic with their own fresh style and interests, Aspen/Snowmass pulls off a brand-image update combined with some deft marketing.
