As COO of 300FeetOut, Barbara knows how to make an organization function smoothly—and she adapts that pragmatic approach to the sometimes perplexing new world of social media (also known as Web 2.0). Barbara aims to demystify social media for 300FeetOut clients; she views social media as an extension of marketing and good customer service, and believes that businesses need to cultivate their online reputations just as they always have face-to-face.

To that end, Barbara has consulted with Aspen/Snowmass on their Web 2.0 efforts, and is currently working with The Setai to develop a social media strategy that will support and enhance the luxury property’s online reputation. She has written “think” pieces on leveraging social media, and is tasked with keeping her clients and colleagues up-to-date on the ever-changing phenomenon’s latest trends.

Barbara began her association with 300FeetOut as a consultant before coming on board full-time to take over direction of operations and projects. Before coming to 300FeetOut, Barbara was a workflow and applications consultant for multiple years in the online support field. While at online auction company eBay, her experience ranged from marketing to executive leadership, as Director of Client Service for Butterfields, eBay’s luxury arm.

Like the Renaissance woman she is, Barbara has an eclectic educational background; she earned a Masters in Gerontology, and Bachelor’s degrees in both Psychology and German literature.
