Discovering a business's true colors

Business folk flock to the online resource Inside CRM to keep up with the latest on Customer Relationship Management, sophisticated database technology for tracking leads, prospects, and customers. Inside CRM presents news, features, product reviews, and interactive blogs in a welcoming, community-style setting.

In designing the Inside CRM website, 300FeetOut sought to maximize the site's appeal to the target audience: enterprising young businesspeople. We researched print and web media with similar demographics—from fashion to sports sites to business publications to entertainment forums—and we noted some commonalities. Our sales whiz likes clean layouts—no fussy or trendy design. Relevant information must be easy to find. The look should be friendly, not staid. And—a revelation to us—a favorite color scheme is red and black. Our client had suggested more soothing green and blue—but our research said “Go for the Bold!”

Now, Inside CRM is successfully building a fast-growing community—in an eye-catching red and black color scheme.
