Gold Medal for Pasolivo Packaging by 300FeetOut

2006 Olive Oils of the World Competition

Second Year Running for Top Honors at World’s Biggest Olive Oil Judging

For the second year in a row, 300FeetOut’s elegantly earthy packaging design for Pasolivo Olive Oil has been awarded a Gold Medal for Contemporary Design at the 2006 Olive Oils of the World competition. The olive oil judging, held May 17-19 in conjunction with the Wines of the World competition at the Los Angeles County Fair, is the largest and one of the most prestigious international olive oil competitions in the world.

As an additional grace note, Pasolivo’s packaging also reaped a Judge’s Choice for Best Packaging Award, one of only four such honors out of a field of 386 oils from 248 producers across virtually every olive-growing region in the world.

“300FeetOut’s packaging really captures the essence of Pasolivo,” says Joeli Yaguda, Sales and Marketing Director for the family-owned olive ranch in Paso Robles, California. “Hand-crafted quality is what makes our olive oil stand out, and our integrated identity reflects that—from labels to signage to website.” Pasolivo oil’s hand-crafted quality was recognized with two Gold Medals at the 2006 competition, in the Intense Tuscan Varietal and Mission Blend Divisions. Pasolivo oils were similarly lauded at the 2005 competition.

“We chose rustic colors and fluid lines to complement the fruity flavor of the oil and the beauty and serenity of the ranch itself,” says Nina Dietzel, principal at 300FeetOut. “Visitors can even send home a luscious postcard after spending a tasting day out at the ranch.”
