designing paradise’s portal

punta cana international airport

the details.

the details.

An airport is a place of steel and tarmac—yet Punta Cana Airport in the Dominican Republic is also a portal to balmy sea breezes and white sand beaches. Serving one of the world’s premiere resort areas, Punta Cana is among the busiest airports in the Caribbean, and also one of the most welcoming, with chic modern furnishings and an island-idyll color scheme.

When 300FeetOut set about designing the Punta Cana Airport’s new website, we went after that perfect balance of strength and beauty: clear, clean information and a high-rev booking engine to quickly plan a holiday, ticket a flight, rent a car—all wrapped up in a bright, fresh presentation that says “take me to the tropics—now!”

Not just for vacationers, the website works hard for sponsors, too. 300FeetOut developed an attractive advertising venue offering banner ads, links, and a splashy home-page image—ideal exposure for relevant advertisers, and web-driven revenue for the airport. Jet Blue, the airport’s lead carrier, has already embraced sponsorship with a sleek graphic presence on the home page.

Delving yet deeper into the website’s functional side, 300FeetOut launched an aggressive SEO campaign which succeeded in wrestling top search result rankings away from unofficial travel-booking competitor sites.
