In it’s 41st year and with over 15,000 performances under its belt, Beach Blanket Babylon is a San Francisco favorite. Reminding audiences of how relevant and funny the show can be is a task 300FeetOut has taken on for a decade. Coming up with new campaigns, we take advantage of new design trends and technologies to drive traffic to the box office. From in-your-face graphics to amusingly staged character scenes the advertising and push for BBB is always one word — fun!
Working together with the BBB senior team, we start by creating bold ideas that translate into concepts. The concepts are then reviewed for viability, refined back in our studio, and analyzed for relevance. Once the strategy is complete, we send over the rollout plan along with the budget. Our design team is put into action either by art directing a photoshoot or beginning work on the creative. From there we create outdoor campaigns, print media placements, or digital advertising.
Recently, we moved the entire Beach Blanket Babylon site onto a responsive framework to take advantage of the large number of people booking via mobile. This required three sets of viewports and UX paths to make sure that each viewer was able to get the right kind of information needed.
This isn’t just a tourists’ San Francisco treat. Beach Blanket Babylon is a local favorite for a night out with friends.
