It’s the most wonderful time of the year again: October! Sure, you might not be able to go trick-or-treating, or enjoy haunted houses and pumpkin patches (unless you’re into the drive-thru haunted houses). One thing is for sure: you can still celebrate by watching scary movies! Also, did you know that Shudder has a ghoul log?

Each year I try to carry a list of 31 different horror movies to watch each day. Needless to say my eye for opening credits and title sequences was in focus. Whether it’s the use of music, graphics, or everything, here have been a few of the horror movies that stood out to me with their opening credits:

Re-Animator (1985)

Halloween (1978)

The Blob (1958)

Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988)

Psycho (1960)

Creepshow (1982)

Rosemary’s Baby (1968)

and last but not least: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)

These are just a few famously known movies throughout various decades of horror film. However, there is so much more worth indulging in. And who’s to say you should wait until October to do it?

Happy Halloween!
