300FeetOut, coming up for air! While we’d like to say “we’ve just been busy” — we’re all about full disclosure. Our team has been hard at work, huddled over white boards, pushing pixels, tweaking CSS, and welcoming new members. Champagne toasts are becoming a regular occurrence. From Hawaii to NYC, the Caribbean to Bangkok, our travels are turning clients into what we prefer to call them; Friends. So what have we been doing, really?

making new clients happy!

We’re thrilled to announce that Park Central Hotel New York selected 300FeetOut to design and develop their new website after completing a major renovation. Park Central Hotel lives up to it’s name – a Midtown Manhattan hotel central to it all — Carnegie Hall, Central Park, Times Square, 5th Avenue shopping, Park Avenue dining, the MOMA, Broadway theater.

Our CEO and Art Director kicked off the project with an on-site visit, where they discovered the hotel has a storied past to share and a glamorous present to flaunt. Built during The Roaring Twenties, the hotel entertained the likes of Jackie Gleason, Mae West, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, even First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Flipping through old scrapbooks, they discovered gilded ballrooms, a lavish underground pool (now a large ballroom), and even news clippings of a mob hit where the on-site Starbucks now stands.

All are fascinating details to drive our strategy and concept development. “Classic sophistication of a bygone era, with a modern, glamorous twist.” Coming soon to a browser near you.

TYPO San Francisco International Design Talks is back, fueled by Monotype! 300FeetOut has been tapped to create their 2015 campaign, themed “Focus”. After working on the previous “Connect”, “Contrast” and “Rhythm” campaigns, we must admit we’re still highly flattered to be selected.

“Focus” permeates the design world and is constantly shifting. Whether you’re pushing pixels, kerning type, adjusting CSS, or handling client queries; your focus is a vital part of the creative process — unique to you. Are you a print designer who moonlights as a front-end developer? A developer rocking that project until 2am? Whoever you are, whatever you do, your eyes express your unique focus.

Keep an “eye” out for our fresh, simple, striking campaign built upon all these personas — and get your tickets now!

What is lebua Hotels and Resorts, and what are we doing? Maybe a visit to Thailand is in our near future? Perhaps Bangkok? This Friday? Stay tuned!

we’d like to thank the academy!

Champagne clinks, cake noshings and high-fives? We’re not jaded, this is what you hear in the studio whenever we win an award. We’re proud of our work, and even prouder of the clients that partner with us to create the work. Awards season is in full swing, already we’ve collected shiny statues for:

webaward_blog Halekulani, Waikiki Beach (Website) — WebAward, “Outstanding Website”

davey_award_blog San Francisco Ballet (2014 Repertory Campaign) — Davey Award, Silver
